Dear Mother

Dear Mother
Was it me that made you depart from this world?
I’m sorry for what i did, I was just a little girl

Dear Mother
What was it that made you leave the family?
Please, you can say, It’ll be kept between you and me

Dear Mother
I can hardly remember your face
A blurred photo’s all I have, and it can’t be replaced

Dear Mother
Were you there, when I cried at your grave?
I think i heard your voice, telling me to be brave

Dear Mother
Are you proud of the woman I’ve become?
I’ve modelled myself on you; to live life and have fun

Dear Mother
Will you be there, on my wedding day?
I always fantasize about it, dream of the things you would say

Dear Mother
Will you smile, when my first child is born?
I promise I’ll bring her to see you, and together we can mourn

Dear Mother
Will you find me, in my hour of need?
Out of those I can choose, It’s you that I need

Dear Mother
Will you be there at the time of my death?
To squeeze my hand tight as I draw my last breath

Dear Mother
When I depart the world, will you be there to greet me?
Of all the faces of the past, it’s you i want to see

Dear Mother
Would you stay with me, until the end of all time?
To turn it all back, make everything fine

Dear Mother
I hope your happy with whatever you do
I just want to let you know, I’ll always love you
